Nerella N. Chauvin Books
Books on Women’s Brain Health, Menopausal Epilepsy 'ME' and Children’s Neuroscience
Welcome to my book corner! I'm glad you found your way here.
My name is Nerella N. Chauvin, I am an author, occupational therapist and epilepsy care educator. My books grew from more than three decades of healthcare experience, patient education and close work with patients and families, facing questions that are often medically complex, but not always explained clearly enough.
I write about women’s brain health, menopause, menopausal epilepsy, midlife neurological symptoms and children’s neuroscience education. My work on menopausal epilepsy has also brought me into collaboration with neurologists, epileptologists and professionals who are working to bring this overlooked subject into stronger clinical and research attention.
I have had the honour of being invited as a founding member in several associations and initiatives connected to menopausal epilepsy research and education. This work matters to me because Menopausal Epilepsy, which I call 'ME', is not only a neurological subject. It is a women’s health subject, a brain health subject and a recognition issue that has remained overlooked for far too long.
Some of my books are written for women who want to make sense of symptoms that are too easily misunderstood. Others are written for families who want to introduce the brain, the nervous system and epilepsy to children in simple, age-appropriate language.
This website brings my books together in one place: The Electric Brain KIDS EPILEPSY, The Electric Brain: The Neuron, The Menopause Dictionary and Understanding Menopausal Epilepsy.
Thank you for spending time here and for looking into the books, questions and subjects behind my work.
